Danfoss is looking for a Global Freight and Procurement Director for our Global Services Logistics, who is able to comprehend the global logistics set-up and see across the two interconnected disciplines, freight management and procurement. In Danfoss Global Services Logistics you will become a vital part of a team who is responsible for trade compliance, freight management, transport procurement and global freight management support. You will report to the Global Freight and Trade Compliance Director. You will be heading both freight management and procurement in a new combined function. Here you will be responsible for taking the performance and deliverables to the next level, heading a team with eight highly competent and skilled international resources. Together with your team you will control the full tender process, lead negotiations of regional/global contracts and define freight strategies, tools and policies globally. Besides that, you will continue to develop the cooperation with partners after the tender has been closed
Your main responsibilities and key tasks will be to:
Background and skills
You have a solid experience in procurement of freight and logistic services globally working in larger international organisations for some years. You have at least 5 years in management exploring your cross-functional leadership skills. You have sufficient purchasing and logistics experience to recognize market movements to secure competitive advantage and avoiding risks for the organisation. We expect you to hold a master’s degree or similar, but more importantly, you have demonstrated experience in driving procurement capabilities and processes. It is an advantage if you have combined your skills within procurement with freight and logistics management.

The position is located in Rødekro, Denmark. However, this position will require that you are up for occasional travel to other Danfoss facilities internationally.
